Expert Ultrasound Diagnostics at Vitromed Clinic
At Vitromed Clinic, we offer expert-level ultrasound diagnostics using a premium-grade GE Voluson E8 machine with Doppler imaging. This cutting-edge equipment ensures accurate, reliable results, significantly speeding up diagnosis and treatment initiation.
Indications for Ultrasound (USG)
Comprehensive internal organ ultrasound is recommended:
- Upon patient request — for a full assessment of liver, biliary tract, spleen, kidneys, adrenal glands, pancreas, pelvic organs, thyroid, breasts, and scrotal structures.
- With unclear clinical presentation — when symptoms, lab tests, and clinical findings conflict.
- To exclude or confirm oncology — evaluating organ structure, identifying tumors, and determining their extent.
- For monitoring known conditions — assessing disease progression and treatment effectiveness.
- At first suspicion of pathology — when new symptoms arise.
- As part of preventive checkups, especially in obstetrics and gynecology for early disease detection.
Prenatal Ultrasound and Diagnostics
First-Trimester Screening (per FMF standards, 10–14 weeks)
Designed to detect chromosomal abnormalities early:
Fetal ultrasound measuring:
- Nuchal translucency (NT)
- Nasal bone
- Heart rate and general development
"Double test" maternal serum markers:
- Free β-hCG
- PAPP-A
- Abnormal results do not require termination, only further testing (e.g., amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling).
Routine Pregnancy Ultrasounds
- Safe and informative, these ultrasounds help to:
- Identify multiple or ectopic pregnancies
- Confirm gestational age and fetal sex
- Detect fetal anomalies, placental or cord issues
- Monitor uterine and cervical health
