Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since 1966, when designers at Letraset and James Mosley, the librarian at St Bride Printing Library, took a 1914 Cicero translation and scrambled it to make dummy text for Letraset's Body Type sheets.

Cryobank: Cryopreservation of Embryos, Eggs, and Sperm

What is Cryopreservation?

Cryopreservation is the process of freezing and long-term storing biological material (embryos, eggs, and sperm) in liquid nitrogen at −196 °C. This method preserves reproductive cells and embryos for future use without compromising their quality.

Embryo Cryopreservation
During IVF cycles, ovarian stimulation typically produces multiple eggs. After fertilization, several embryos develop, but usually only one or two are transferred per cycle. The remaining viable embryos can be frozen using vitrification—a rapid-freezing method that ensures high survival rates.

Benefits:

Recommended for:

Storage Duration:
Embryos can be stored for many years, dependent on periodic consent from patients.

Disposition Options:

Embryo Transport
Patients may transfer their embryos between clinics via a signed informed consent form. Embryos are transported in a specially designed liquid-nitrogen container, with responsibility placed on the patient.

Survival Rate:
In clinics with optimized vitrification protocols, survival post-thaw reaches up to 98%. Typically, a single blastocyst-stage embryo is chosen for transfer.

Egg Cryopreservation
Freezing eggs was once a technical challenge. Today, vitrification allows effective preservation with minimal viability loss.

Indicated for:

Sperm Cryopreservation
At VitroMed Clinic, sperm is cryopreserved using advanced vitrification techniques.

Indications:

Procedure:
Semen analysis precedes freezing. Samples are processed, concentrated, and frozen in labelled cryovials at −196 °C, maintaining viability for years. Post-thaw processing further enhances sperm quality.

Why Choose VitroMed Clinic?

Cryopreservation is a reliable solution for delayed parenthood, IVF recurrence, or fertility preservation prior to medical treatments.
